ATLANTA, August 10,  2008 -- GE Energy has acquired Kelman Limited of Lisburn, Northern Ireland, a leading provider of advanced monitoring and diagnostics technologies for transformers, enhancing GE’s smart grid product portfolio.

With the acquisition completed, Kelman’s employees are now part of GE’s transmission and distribution operations.
